Hello everyone, this is Doctor George Solter, Superintendent of the North Bergen School District. We are now preparing for the end of the 2022 - 2023 school year and I have a few points of information I would like to tell you about.

First, I would like to thank the entire staff for their efforts during this school year. The past few years have been a great challenge for students and staff as we navigated all of the protocols that were put in place. The landscape and mindset of the educational process had to change as we looked to use interventions to help some of our students close achievement gaps. Our entire staff has been working very hard on identifying issues and working on specific skill-building exercises for our children. We will continue to enhance this process in the coming school years.

Second, once again we will have an extended summer program for our students at Kennedy School, Franklin School, Robert Fulton School, and North Bergen High School. We look forward to using specific and targeted learning experiences for our students to help prepare them for the next academic year. Please speak with your child's school administrator if you have any questions.

Third, we will be celebrating our students' completion of academic milestones, specifically Pre-K, Kindergarten, Eighth Grade, and High School. The schedule for the ceremonies is on our website or you can call the school for more information. I would like to congratulate all of the students moving on to the next level of their educational journey. To the High School Graduates who are completing their journey with us, I say congratulations and much success in your endeavors in life.

Fourth, I want to remind you about the schedule for the last few days. Monday, June 19th we will be celebrating Juneteenth, and Tuesday, June 20th we will be off for our third snow day. Additionally, on June 26th, June 27th, and June 28th we will be observing the early dismissal schedule. Lastly, I wish all of you a very enjoyable summer. Please take some time to enjoy yourselves and recharge, perhaps by reading, exploring, investigating, and staying active.
