About Your Teacher

I was born and raised in North Bergen.  I attended Lincoln School, NBHS and graduated from Florida Atlantic University where I studied Anthropology, Biology and Environmental Studies.  I have ALWAYS loved science.  As a child I wanted to be a veterinarian, then a marine biologist, then a zoologist, then a park ranger and finally a primatologist (yeah...I really like primates!)  I was the neighborhood "explorer", collecting ladybugs and snails and hunting for snakes.  When I graduated college I volunteered at the Bronx Zoo.  It was one of the most amazing experiences of my life!  I was able to work with giraffes, gorillas, monkeys, lions, bears, bats and zebra...just to name a few.
My interests have always been based in science and I love nothing more than to share my passion for science with my students.  It is my goal to instill a love of nature and of ALL living things in each and every one of you so that you can become environmental advocates.  What is your "One Thing"?
