Mr. Robert Onoz
Hello, everyone!
My name is Mr. Onoz (pronounced "O-NYOHS") and I am a passionate physics teacher dedicated to helping students build a deep, conceptual understanding of the physical world. To me, physics is not just about memorizing formulas or solving equations. It is about uncovering the elegant principles that govern our universe. Math is the universe’s secret language, and I love teaching my students to speak it fluently, like true cosmic insiders.
My teaching philosophy centers on inquiry and exploration.
I believe physics is best learned through authentic questioning, inspired by the Socratic Method. In my classroom, curiosity is the engine of learning. I strive to create an environment where students feel safe to ask bold questions, challenge assumptions, and test their intuitions. I encourage critical thinking and empower students to seek answers to their own questions. The best discoveries often begin with “What if?”
Subjects I teach:
- Physics/Lab
- Physics Honors/Lab
- Physics AP
Projects I have mentored students on:
- Deciphering the Spacetime Tapestry: Exploring Closed Timelike Curves, Galactic Structures, and the Cosmic Influence of Dark Matter
- Polarity: Mitigating the Initial Effects of Vehicle Rollovers with an Electromagnetic Suspension System
- Deciphering the Mysteries of the Cosmos: Tachyon Interactions Within a Triple Hilbert Space Model
