Today, we were notified by the North Bergen Police Department, in coordination with the FBI, that several schools across the nation have received hoax telephone threats claiming to be an active shooter in the building. The FBI is investigating. They have stated that the subject utilizes a telephone number that has been linked to previous false 911 calls connected to an Ethiopian Telecommunications Company.
We are alerting you to these reports of fake active shooter calls so that you are aware and do not become alarmed. In the even of any threat, our district will respond appropriately following established security protocols and guidance from the NJ Department of Education. As always, the safety of your child and our staff is our first concern.

Hoy, el Departamento de Policía de North Bergen, en coordinación con el FBI, nos notificó que varias escuelas en todo el país han recibido amenazas telefónicas falsas que afirman ser un tirador activo en el edificio. El FBI está investigando. Han declarado que el sujeto utiliza un número de teléfono que se ha vinculado a llamadas falsas anteriores al 911 conectadas a una empresa de telecomunicaciones de Etiopía.
