It's another scary day at the Black Lagoon. . . . Hubie has been sent to the principal's office, and he's scared! Does Mrs. Green really feed kids to the alligator she keeps in her office? Does she really keep kids locked in cages under her desk? Will Hubie be able to hear kids screaming for help from down the hall? Anticipation turns a trip to the principal's office into a playfully frightening adventure!

principal from the Black Lagoon by Mike thaler it's the third day of school I've been sent to the principal's office what a bummer I hear the principal mrs. green is a real monster kids go to her office never come back the waiting room is supposed to be filled with bones the skeleton Doris was sent there for chewing gum they say her skeleton still has a bubble coming out of it I walked in I take see the rug is red tide so the Blood Horse Show I hear she uses tall kids with coat rack the short kids she feeds to her pet alligator the fat ones she uses this paper weight this is bookmark out to be a bookmark then there's her 12-foot paddle it's supposed to have poison spikes on it if you're lucky you get put in the cage she has them under her desk if you're really lucky you get sent home in Shane but most kids she keeps from her for her experiments sent to her office last week they say he wound up with a dog's head they say Freddy Jones has the feet of a chicken an Eric Porter has I'm too good-looking to have the ears of a rabbit all I did was mrs. Jones is wig usually they say there's a lot of screaming maybe she's in a good mood even if I survive this will all go on my permanent record in the future I'll be running for president I'll be ahead in the polls and come out to the principal's office there's a shadow with the glass now I'm in the jaws of fate slowly is a pretty woman standing there she's a Master of Disguise she closes the door behind me I look around doesn't look like anyone I know I look around for the alligator says mrs. green are we having a little trouble says I was sweeping up the room and by accident mrs. Jones this week got caught on the Broom handled well we'll have to apologize yes we will and the next time we'll have to be more careful yes we will yes we will is that all close the door Riverside lucky boots flowers on her desk for probably poisonous just fortunately I held my breath and I have returned without the ears of a rabbit I'll have to sweep her off this sometime and see if she wears a wig the end
